About Pick 4
Making your picks
Every week, you pick one game for each of four categories:
- Over
- Under
- Favorite
- Underdog
You can't use the same game more than once. For example, if you take the Over in the Bears/Packers game, you can't also take the Bears as your favorite.
Scoring
A correct pick is worth 1 point, a push is 0.5, and a miss is 0.
If two players end up with the same number of points, the tiebreaker is total wins. Records are shown as wins-losses-pushes, so for example, 11-7-0 (11 points) ranks higher than 10-5-2 (also 11 points).
When picks open and lock
A week's picks open after the previous week's last game ends. From then until kickoff of the week's first game, you can set, change, or clear any of your four picks as many times as you want.
Everything locks together, all at once, at the kickoff of that week's first game, not each pick's own game individually. So a pick for the Monday night game locks at the same time as the week's opening game. The same instant everything locks is also when everyone's picks for the week become visible to the rest of the group: nobody sees a pick that could still change.
